Tree Removal Service
Our Tree Savvy Arborists are dedicated to the care and well-being of our urban forests – focusing on the retention and preservation of our trees – the establishment of new trees is no comparison to the preservation of mature trees! Our arborists are encouraged to discuss mitigation methods to maintain trees, however, the unpredictability of nature’s severe storms or the development of special projects, such as construction or lot clearing, can result in the need for a tree to be removed.
In the case of a severe weather event, faults in the trees structure are often brought to light. Unfortunately, trees that are damaged by these storms may have no other option than complete removal. Windthrow (the uprooting of the tree), horizontal stem cracks, complete stem breakage, and the separation of codominant stems are the most common outcomes from severe storms which are grounds for the removal of the tree. Additionally, tree root systems are opportunistic and will find faults in pipelines, such as a septic system and poor building foundations, and may impede higher priority landscape plans, resulting in the desire to remove a tree.
Clients regularly request the removal of a tree for construction projects, to alter their landscapes, or to remove the risks involved with a poorly maintained tree if mitigation options are insufficient. An assessment is encouraged to be performed if a tree looks sickly, chlorotic, has significant tip-dieback, or fungal fruiting bodies are present which could be grounds for the tree’s removal. The ISA Certified Arborists at Tree Savvy are trained in evaluating the health and condition of trees to aid in management processes while preserving the healthy, vigorous trees in our urban forests.
Emergency service is also available if structures are damaged or in danger.
Tree Removal Cost
The cost of tree removal can be remedied by weighing out the pros and cons of removing a tree. A professional, certified Arborist will be able to help you answer the following questions about the tree removal cost to you, your property, or surround properties:
- Is there trunk damage?
- Are there large dead branches?
- Is the tree under power lines?
- Are there sprouts coming from the base of the tree?
- Is the tree leaning?
- Are all dead branches on one side of the tree?
If you answered, “Yes,” to one or more of these questions, you should contact our certified Arborists to ensure that the removal cost of your tree will ultimately be less than what the tree is costing your property, or surround properties.
